Anticorrosive Epoxy primer is made of high molecular weight epoxy resins and polyamides as well as anticorrosive pigments and fillers with low chemical inertia. It stands out for its mechanical characteristics and excellent resistance to corrosion and calcification. Ideal for all metallic surfaces and structures where high chemical resistance is required. The perfect anticorrosive system when applied with the two-component Polyurethane Enamel. Excellent adhesion on galvanized. Application: Mix in a ratio 4:1, preferably mechanically to achieve a homogenous result. Once the two components have been mixed together, there is an application time of 20 hours. Any failure to follow the standards will lead to finishes with an oily or sticky appearance. Apply on a clean surface, free of rust, dust and grease. Any remains of old paint must be removed. Special attention must be paid to the elimination of “calamine” (crystalline oxide) as overtime it peels of the paint. Calamine must be removed mechanically by sandblasting grade SA 2 ½ . Red oxide (rust) can be removed by brushing, disc or hammering to ST3 grade. Galvanized iron surfaces: Clean the surface with an alkaline agent or any cleaner adding a small amount of ammonia and rinse with water. Apply one to three coats of primer with a thickness of max 40 microns. Let it dry for 24 hours. Light metals: Clean the surface with an alkaline agent or any cleaner adding a small amount of ammonia and rinse with water. Apply one coat of primer with a maximum thickness of 10 microns in order to ensure good adhesion. Drying time: 8 hours Recoating time: 24 hours
