DescriptionThe Alhambra Wall Print from a wood engraving by Huma Mushtaq, 2004 Traditional Islamic Art. This print is based on the walls of the Alhambra Palace, Granada, Spain, completed in the 1300s, toward the end of Moorish rule in southern Spain. It was built by the last Muslim emir. Huma Mushtaq completed a Masters degree at Buckinghamshire New University, with the Alhambra as the focus of her study. This piece is the only example of Islamic art currently in the Museum’s collection.
