Description Renderoc HS Xtra – Fiber-Reinforced Cementitious Repair Mortar Renderoc HS Xtra is a high-specification, fiber-reinforced cementitious repair mortar supplied as a ready-to-use dry powder blend. With the addition of clean water, it produces a consistent repair mortar suitable for structural concrete and masonry repairs. Renderoc HS Xtra may be hand-applied or sprayed depending on project requirements. Uses: Renderoc HS Xtra is suitable for hand and spray application for repairs where high load bearing is required. Typical applications would include, but not be limited to, the following: Vertical and overhead repairs to restore ‘cover Crete’. General concrete and masonry repairs. Voids greater than 10 mm deep. Repairs to honeycombing. Larger scale repairs where formwork cannot be erected. Application instructions Renderoc HS Xtra should only be mixed and applied in strict accordance with the product Method Statement, a copy of which may be obtained from your nearest Fosroc office. Estimating Supply Renderoc HS Xtra: 20 kg bags Yield Renderoc HS Xtra: 10.79 litres per 20 kg bag Limitations: Renderoc HS Xtra should not be used when the ambient temperature is below 5oC and falling. Renderoc HS Xtra should not be part mixed, nor part bags used. Renderoc HS Xtra should not be exposed to running water either during application or prior to final set. Storage: Shelf life Renderoc HS Xtra has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry environment, in its original, unopened packing. If stored in conditions of high humidity and/or temperature, the shelf life will be reduced. Standard compliance: Renderoc HS Xtra repair mortar system complies with the following international standards: ASTM C-157-93: Test for drying shrinkage DIN 1048 Part 5: Test for permeability BS 1881 part 121: Test for water absorption Precautions: Health and safety Renderoc HS Xtra contains cement powders which, when mixed with water or upon becoming damp, release alkalis which can be harmful to the skin. During use, avoid inhalation of the dust and contact with the skin or eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing – eye protection, gloves and respiratory equipment (particularly in confined spaces). The use of barrier creams to provide additional skin protection is also advised. In case of contact with the skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse thoroughly with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting. Fire Renderoc HS Xtra is non-flammable and thus presents no fire hazard.
