Description Curved adjustable desk by Seltz Ébénisterie, France, 1980s. Crafted in solid French elm, a material that has become increasingly rare due to the effects of Dutch elm disease and is no longer available in this quality. The design is characterized by its softly curved writing surface and the distinctive ondulé, wave shaped support, lending the piece a sculptural and visually dynamic presence. The desk features an adjustable mechanism that allows it to pivot, enabled by a wooden sphere that slides along a rail fixed to the underside. Presented in very good condition, the desk is ready for daily use. Its solid elm construction ensures long term durability and stability. A finely executed example of French cabinetmaking from the period, combining practical function with a strong and expressive material character. Approximate dimensions: Width: 186 cm Height: 73 cm Depth: 73 cm Materials: Elm Origin: 1980s, partial label of furniture shop still present on the underside Condition: Very good condition, minimal signs of use.
