Description The “Verspanntes Regal” is a Postmodern shelf designed by Wolfgang Laubersheimer for the Pentagon Group in 1984. Pentagon, embraced an artistic approach to the objects they designed; often uncommon, experimental materials and treatments were used. No exception forms the “Verspanntes Regal”, this bookshelf was constructed using welded sheets of bent steel, kept under a constant tension with the metal wire attached to one side. The steel has not been treated in anyway, resulting in a unique patina built up over several decades of use. A truly unique piece, produced in only small quantity. Origination: Germany, 1980s.
