Description Gabriella Crespi, Rising Sun Series, “Fungo” Table Lamp, 1970s Large table lamp designed by Gabriella Crespi as part of her Rising Sun series, produced in Italy during the 1970s. The lamp made of finely arranged bamboo, polished, uncoated brass which are characteristic of this collection, and reflecting Crespi’s focus on craftsmanship and natural materials. The lamp represents Crespi’s exploration of light and texture through simple, refined forms. A functional object that also expresses the sculptural quality typical of her work from this period. Good original condition with wear consistent with age and use as per images. Object currently under review by the Gabriella Crespi Archives.   Origination: Italy, 1970s.  Purchased from private collection Switzerland. Condition: Good overall. Signs of age on the brass, one minor dent on the base as per images. Lamp has been cleaned, polished and the electric wiring has been checked. The brass has been treated with renaissance wax.
